Re: Risky
I defy you to look at the track record of anyone who
has successfully transformed his or her physique and
not find at least one instance when he or she made a
decision to do something others said is 'too risky.'
There comes a time in your life when you just have to
go 'all-in' - as they say in Texas Hold'em.
Everybody arrives at that time at some point, but few
are willing to put themselves on the line and really go
for what they want.
The people who do, tend to be the ones with the biggest
stack of chips.
There's always risks and gambles in life. No getting
around that if you want to be a winner.
But most folks are just plain risk averse.
And because of that, they've been misled and lied to so
many times, they don't know who to trust anymore and
are commonly frustrated with lack of true and lasting
body transformation results.
If you don't have the guts to push all your chips in
when you've read the table, sized up your opponents,
assessed the risk and know the odds are in your
favor...chances are real good you won't ever win big.
Those who have transformed their physiques not only
accept risk as part of the game...
They embrace it.
That's not to say it doesn't make them uncomfortable
sometimes, but they're good at managing and mitigating
risk.
They're good at sizing things up and making the big
decision in the big moment. And more times than not,
they come out on top.
Because you'll never achieve the body of your dreams
without some element of risk.
Risk is a mainstay, an ever-present companion of the
real body transformation success story.
And smart risk assessment and acceptance... and action
is the hallmark of all successful fitness enthusiasts.
I talk to so many individuals who say they want big
rewards, big fat loss results, big strength and tone.
But they're just not willing to take the risks
necessary to grab what they say they want.
That, in a word, is incongruent.
And incongruence steals life from you.
In order to be successful and achieve the body of your
dreams you must live your life in-line with your
values.
You must embrace your own personal power. That power
comes directly from your BELIEF in what you are capable
of achieving. And that belief ultimately makes you
fearless.
If you want to achieve BIG results, you have to be
fearless and willing to lay it on the line.
I'm talking about risking that your ego may get
bruised. Risking failure.
For most people, their fear of failure manifests itself
in the way they stick to what they are comfortable with
and what they've always done.
And because of that, they live a life of quiet
desperation forever languishing in the gray twilight of
mediocrity.
Fortune, my friend, favors the BOLD.
So believe in yourself and charge ahead, regardless of
your previous experiences.
