Home Gyms Are a Much Needed Lifeboat For Your Fitness Objectives
People are all the same in some ways and also very different in other
ways. However, one thing we all have in common is the tendency to
procrastinate and the easiest thing to procrastinate about is staying
physically fit by using a health club membership. To be fair to health
clubs I must point out that it is really not their fault because
procrastination is purely psychological. However, procrastination is a
serious condition and it can be very damaging to your physical health
and even fatal if it isn't properly contained. Please allow me to
explain:
Like an iceberg, psychological obstacles are 90% below the surface. But
nonetheless, they are very insidious. For example: The captain of the
Titanic was bent on setting a new world speed record for crossing the
Atlantic Ocean. That feat was actually quite possible and if he wasn't
procrastinating about keeping a lookout for icebergs, he very well would
have set that record and the legacy of the Titanic would be a far
different then what it is today. People that procrastinate about
purchasing a quality in home gym are not necessarily ship captains, but
the dangers of procrastination are just as real for the health of that
person and their loved ones.
Heart disease and obesity are detrimental to your quality of life and
can be deadly if you let them get out of hand. To eliminate
procrastination you have to get real about your time schedule. The vast
majority of Americans work outside of their homes and the typical
commute time is between 30 and 90 minutes each way! When you get home
from a hard day at the office (so to speak) do you feel like getting
back into the car and driving another 20 to 30 minutes each way to your
local health club? Or how about getting up 2 hours early to make the
trip to the gym before you need to leave for work? I can tell you right
now how this story ends, you will make a valiant effort to get in shape
but that will come to an end after 2 or 3 weeks. Did you know that most
health club plans begin and end in January? The early termination of
that health plan correlates perfectly with an abandoned new years
resolution.
The most effective and affordable solution to this problem is the in
home gym. With modern fitness technology there is no need to leave the
comfort and convenience of your own home to have access to all the
quality fitness equipment that you need. Today's home gyms
are affordable, compact and versatile and a complete home gym can easily
fit into almost any room. Just think, in that same amount of time that
you spent driving to and from the fitness center you would have already
finished your exercise routine and could then be making the most of your
valuable spare time and money that would otherwise be going to the
health club. Ironically, the largest obstacle to a slimmer and healthier
you, is your health club membership!
